Hang on To His Promises

Monday, February 27, 2006
Gal 5:1 For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.

Hang on to His promises child. It is the only place in this world you can trust.

Sermon Notes

Sunday, February 26, 2006
Be Of Good Cheer

Act 27:25 Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God,
that it shall be even so as it hath been spoken unto me.

Do we believe God? Do we believe His promises? Then be of good
cheer.

Believe His promises.

1- God answers prayer
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Mat 7:8 for every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Mat 7:9 Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;
Mat 7:10 or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?
Mat 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children,
how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

2-God is with us
Mat 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name,
there am I in the midst of them.

3-God anoints His ministry
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying,
All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them into the name of the Father and
of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded
you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

4- God gives us His Holy Spirit and power to witness
Act 1:8 But ye shall receive power,
when the Holy Spirit is come upon you:
and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem,
and in all Judaea and Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

5- Jesus never changes
Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and to-day,
yea and for ever.

6- He is coming again to receive us
Joh 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God,
believe also in me.
Joh 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
Joh 14:3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I come again,
and will receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be
also.

Be of good cheer.

One Fruitful Life

There is one fruitful life in the world (The Lord's)..through which we are fruitful.

He chooses us... and through that our fruit remains.

Without Him there is no peace to a life...With HIm the peace abounds.
Without Him there is no joy to a life....With Him joy abounds.
Without Him there is no life to a life.

Peace on earth...good will toward men.

On Power

Friday, February 24, 2006
Joh 19:11 Jesus answered him, Thou wouldest have no power against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath greater sin.

The Lord in His life span had many people that tried to execute power over His life.

They tried to stone Him and capture Him and destroy Him ...yet He walked right through the middle of them. When the power of God was given another however, He was in total subjection.

Have you ever had a power in your life that you could in no way walk through? I have.

The funny thing about power given from God that you can't walk through..you have to live through it.

It was in my own case a very painful and controling power..but it taught me the most in my entire life.

I thank God for it.

Praying God's will can be very hard and painful. But after the pain there is always the joy.

Rescued

To be rescued (delivered) from the power of darkness..that is pretty cool.

Col 1:10 to walk worthily of the Lord unto all pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
Col 1:11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, unto all patience and longsuffering with joy;
Col 1:12 giving thanks unto the Father, who made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light;
Col 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;

The Apostles and Suffering

Thursday, February 23, 2006
As the apostles traveled from city to city..they often shook the dust from places of unacceptance.

They did however suffer and where cut assunder. Even remaining in a prison that was opened for release to preach to the guards.

What strikes me however is they never ended until the Lord allowed. Peter with much suffering in being crucified. John imprisoned on a lonely island. They did what they did... knowing God was in total control of their lives.

How wonderful...to know God is in control.

Don't allow the enemy to get you down. Praise God for all things... knowing His intentions are for good only.

Praise God!

Bye Bhedr

Goodbye Bhder! I understand and love to you and your wife.

Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men. They speak vanity every one with his neighbor: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak...who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?...The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted. Psalm 12

I Know I Can

Monday, February 20, 2006
Without Christ we can do nothing...but we can do all things through Christ who strenghtens us.

Lord steer us clear of negative thinking.

We are in you like the little engine that could..but instead of saying I think I can...make it I know I can.

Conforming

Saturday, February 18, 2006
Conforming

I got to thinking about conforming unto Christ's image in this life.

I began to wonder of instances where a sinner believed yet did
not begin the process of conforming.

I then thought of the thief on the cross.

This thief was a deathbed confession of sorts. He had no room
in this life to conform and yet the Lord told him that
He would see him in paradise.

Luk 23:43
(ASV) And he said unto him, Verily I say unto thee,
Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.

He had to be one of God's elect or he would have never believed.

This thief lived a life of nothing but sin...but at the same time
he had never confessed Christ until death.

What a revelation in the elect not judging the outsiders but only
those claiming a confession.

A true confession along with belief will never conform to a thief.
Yet an outside thief may very well be a brother.

Patiently Awaiting God's Promises

Heb 6:1 Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Heb 6:2 of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
Heb 6:3 And this will we do, if God permit.
Heb 6:4 For as touching those who were once enlightened and tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Spirit,
Heb 6:5 and tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the age to come,
Heb 6:6 and then fell away, it is impossible to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Heb 6:7 For the land which hath drunk the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them for whose sake it is also tilled, receiveth blessing from God:
Heb 6:8 but if it beareth thorns and thistles, it is rejected and nigh unto a curse; whose end is to be burned.
Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak:
Heb 6:10 for God is not unrighteous to forget your work and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered unto the saints, and still do minister.
Heb 6:11 And we desire that each one of you may show the same diligence unto the fulness of hope even to the end:
Heb 6:12 that ye be not sluggish, but imitators of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Heb 6:13 For when God made promise to Abraham, since he could swear by none greater, he sware by himself,
Heb 6:14 saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.
Heb 6:15 And thus, having patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

Casters and Shakers

Friday, February 17, 2006
I am such a big shaker of dust but in no way cast out.

If one were to come to my site I would try to remain at peace with that person...but if I go somewhere and feel my peace leave me.. I shake dust so fast my heels spin.

Are you a shaker or a caster? I'm a shaker.

The "All" enter... are treated abominally and cast out ...the "All" were not what was expected.

Just put up a "No Trespassing" sign... that I could respect.

The Biggest Thing I Have Learned In Life

Thursday, February 16, 2006
The biggest and most important thing I have learned in life is..

Don't hang around places where you are not loved.
The world loves it's own but not the Lord's...the Lord loves His and the world. Hang where the Lord is.

Following Our Lord Is Nothing but Gain, Gain, Gain

Wednesday, February 15, 2006
Isa 61:3 to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.
Isa 61:4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
Isa 61:5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vine-dressers.
Isa 61:6 But ye shall be named the priests of Jehovah; men shall call you the ministers of our God: ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves.
Isa 61:7 Instead of your shame ye shall have double; and instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Isa 61:8 For I, Jehovah, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
Isa 61:9 And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which Jehovah hath blessed.
Isa 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with a garland, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Isa 61:11 For as the earth bringeth forth its bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

Me- Lord, please forgive them and if it is your will for my death so be it

The Lord- Hon, you need not die for them...I already did it..and I died for you also so you can live

It was very strange and painful learning...but thank you Lord.

The Lord is So Good

Saturday, February 11, 2006
The Lord is so good and His Word does convict.

I had a talk with hubby today and we are going to try and return to the church fellowship where I first began my walk. It isn't like I haven't been praying for God's will in their lives and although they hurt me badly ( and many others I have spoken to) ...the Lord has replaced the old abusive pastor with a new one. Hubby is hesitant because he knows how the post tramatic stress is triggered at times.

We will return and see if they are less abusive. The Lord has given me much space to heal. I was almost murdered by an abusive person once...and while I still pray for them even today...it left scars and a defence system against abuse.

I do suppose I need to stop trying and defend myself and just give it to the Lord. He was certainly faithful in replacing that pastor....We will see if they are growing better or worse I suppose.

Thank God for His faithfulness.

I should add that if things have not gotten better I will in no way feel in bondage to stay. I know the Lord loves me too much to have to suffer in abusive situations ever again if He allows me two good feet to walk. He took enough abuse for the both of us.

I Know

Friday, February 10, 2006
I know my position on church membership seems at odds being as I don't believe any person should be cast out for any reason.

But it is in no way at odds. God is well able to keep peace in His field in spite of the tares. It is the caster outers I try and avoid. God being the head knows all hearts and I don't believe would put a closet gay in a teaching position ...but they might be in the building.
Joh 6:37

(ASV)
All that which the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

Besides the enemy has to be in your presence to see your cup overflow. He can not disrupt that cup however.

Of Peace

1Co 14:33(ASV) for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

If God's Word tells me that ALL churches of saints are of peace..then I believe that Word and will not be swayed into some sort of condemnation for not settling for any less than unity and peace.

The Lord even tells us we can gage if a house be worthy if upon entering we say ..peace to this house..and if our peace leaves us we are to shake off the dust.

I prefer to do as the Lord tells me and not listen to those that would have me in bondage to an apostate house.

I will not be married to the harlot.... The Lord willing of course.

Isn't it Odd

Isn't it odd that when Abraham went up the mountain with every intent to sacrifice what the Lord lead him to...he didn't come back down that mountain with a blood soaked dagger?

Kind of like how the Lord told us that anyone willing to loose his life would keep it...sort of along those lines. I would suppose we should watch out for blood soaked daggers.

Not of Me

Tuesday, February 07, 2006
Isa 54:15

(ASV)
Behold, they may gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall because of thee.

Child listen. Great armies always gather to try and kill off one tiny trusting child...but have ears to hear. There is a line that no army can cross.

Isa 54:17

(ASV)
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of Jehovah, and their righteousness which is of me, saith Jehovah.

On Finding A True Church

Friday, February 03, 2006
1Co 14:33

(ASV) for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

On Finding A True Church

These days finding a true church family can be trying.
A child of God should never feel they have to settle for second best.

It is like a marriage. Would I settle for an abusive or
manipulative family when my Lord tells me I am precious
in His sight? Would I settle for confusion when my Lord
is the Son of Peace?

1Co 14:33
(ASV) for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace.
As in all the churches of the saints,

Would I settle for the synagogue of satan
in place of a church of saints?

Rev 2:9
(ASV) I know thy tribulation, and thy poverty (but thou art rich),
and the blasphemy of them that say they are Jews, and they art not,
but are a synagogue of Satan.

No we should never settle for seconds. These are the days
of the apostate church. The Lord will even allow you to
see the apostacy and shake off the dust.

One cult I have entered had a closet gay teaching the youth ministry.
Another preached of nothing but "seed"..of course with seed being
the almighty dollar
in place of the Word of God.

These things always come to light, but to remain in such apostacy will
do you and your family nothing
but harm.

Shake off the dust...but don't loose hope.

The Lord
will always use these things to help you learn, and today is always
a new and joyous day in the Lord for His children!

Praise God!
