Perceptions

I guess that idols deal with perceptions.The JW's I dealt with saw a jewelry cross as an idol...I saw it as a piece of metal.
Spurgeon saw family provision as an idol...I see it as Godly responsibility.
Sometimes it is how one views things more than the thing in and of itself.
